FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is your ammunition more accurate and reliable than factory loaded ammunition?

A: There are many reasons. However, the main reason is that we precision load each individual cartridge by hand, while factory ammo is loaded by machines at a rate of several thousand rounds per hour.

Q: What is your delivery time?

A: Orders are normally shipped within 14 days of receipt. Please factor in the time required for UPS delivery.

Q: What is your minimum order?

A: The minimum order is 20 rounds. For special orders utilizing other bullet brands that we do not keep in stock, the minimum order will be either 25 or 50 rounds as this is the minimum quantity of bullets that can be ordered from Nosler, Trophy Bonded, Hawk, etc.

Q: Will you load my once fired cases and is there a discount?

A: Yes, providing that they are not damaged and were properly loaded in the past. We allow a discount of 50% of the cost of new brass. For example: 20 pieces of 375 H&H brass – my cost is $15 – your discount is $7.50.

Q: Can you load reduced velocity, reduced recoil practice ammunition?

A: Yes. We can load your .458 Win mag down to .45-70 levels for practice and/or hunting. We can also specially design a load that younger shooters can hunt without excessive recoil.

Q: Can you supply load data?

A: No. As with all major ammunition manufacturers, we do not supply load data.

Q: I have heard that the Barnes Banded Solid is not recommended for use in double rifles due to pressure issues. Is this a fact?

A: NO!! The Banded Solid develops less pressure in identical loads when compared to the Woodleigh Solid. Barnes has done extensive pressure testing on both bullets and the Banded Solid shows less pressure than the Woodleigh steel jacketed solid with identical powder charges.
